About Me

My photo
Kenneth Merrill
I have been a potter since 1983 were I was first introduced to clay in my high school pottery class in Portland Oregon. In 1990 I moved to Central Oregon where I worked for a local Bend, Oregon pottery. In 1998 I moved to Sisters, Oregon where I have my studio and gallery. I make a wide selection of handmade pottery, each piece is hand thrown on a potter's wheel then fired in a kiln to 2400 degrees where it becomes stoneware. All of my pottery is made of the finest clays available. I specialize in handmade dinnerware sets, lamps, sinks and functional pottery. In 2002 I opened Canyon Creek Pottery which displays the pottery that I make in the studio located behind the gallery.
